I can’t say that I have ever seen anything quite like this.
On June 11, 2008, this storm rolled in and seemed to stop for
a while directly above our house. The clouds were low and
swirling like cream in your coffee. There was plenty of
electrical activity too, and heavy lateral rain. This shot
was taken from our farm towards the northeast before it
arrived. You can see the storm approaching our neighbor’s place.
Below is an incredible double rainbow that formed during
the event. Our camera didn’t sharply capture a less
brilliant rainbow to the left, although it is slightly visible.
